Easter 2008

We had a fun day today. We got dressed and made it to church only to find that the service was full and no available seating, no nursery for Sadie and the family room had been converted into a reading library. Hmmm .... standing in the back of the church with a squirming 2 year old for an hour? Not my idea of worship. So ... we bailed as soon as the scene turned ugly and drove home, grabbed our easter gear and went to the park. The girls got their baskets each with a stuffed animal, dvd, book, requisite chocolate bunny, and other odds and ends. After some time playing on the playground while David hid the eggs, the girls reconvened and set about the hunt. The park started to fill up and the Morgans took flight to Black Eyed Pea for a pre-easter-lunch-rush meal and then came home and watched movies. My eyes are still bleary from all of the viewing. Here are some long overdue pics from today.
Hunting for eggs

Zoë in the blustery day

Mmm ... marshmallow eggs

I think I'm in love

Easter haul

More hunting

Daddy helps spy an egg with Sadie and her jaunty easter hat that she forced me to buy at Target and has been wearing non-stop since then

Restraing Sadie for a group picture. Zoë went snappy casual for Easter this year.

More hunting ...

Sadie and her new "pigeon" book. She LOVES all of the pigeon books and we read them ALL EVERY night at bedtime.

Her new "cheese" smile. So cute ... even in her Easter pimp-hat

Looking at daddy taking her picture face on while mommy takes a side shot with the spare camera.

Sadie's first experience with chocolate other than m&ms

I think she liked it.
