Our foray into the world of blogging has begun! I will attempt to keep this current with our activities and comings and goings as well as with photos but I warn you advance - we are EVER so boring and I am quite the advanced procrastinator.

I wish I could take a picture of it but I've tried and it just doesn't work but Sadie cut her first tooth. Yes, after months of drool saturating every article of clothing both she and I own not to mention the subsequent drownings of all of her lovies (God bless Pinkie, may she rest in peace) we have a tooth. I figured something was up because the child has been abnormally cranky and irritable the past 2 days (Sadie entered this world with a certain baseline irritability. I guess she was pretty comfortable folded up onto herself wedged underneath my ribcage and harbors some resentment for being so unceremoniously dislodged from said placement - or at least that's what I get from our long conversations) and then this morning she grabbed my (just washed) index finger and guided it right to her tooth. Isn't she brilliant? Of course then she bit down as hard as she could but we'll go with the brilliant storyline for historical purposes.

Zoë is getting over bronchitis which totally put a damper on her last week of school. She made it all the way to the awards ceremony where she was presented with a perfect attendance medal but then had to miss the last two days of school. We keep waiting for that knock on the door for the principal to take back the award. Until then, again for historical purposes, Zoë had perfect attendance for 2nd grade! For now, she is BORED as she reminds me precisely every half hour on the half hour in a tone of voice that can only be achieved by the prepubescent tween set. Between recuperation from illness and the onslaught of rain the past few days, she swears her summer is officially ruined. Hopefully we can pull it out of an early grave and salvage something decent for the child to write about on the first day of school.
