Zoë's new haircut. She LOVES her new do. I can't believe how much older it made her look. Just in the past few weeks I can see several physical changes in her that add to her aging look. It makes me so sad sometimes because it honestly seems like a few months ago that she was Sadie's age. I guess God knew what He was doing in giving us Sadie at this point because I would be a total wreck right now and putting Zoë in smocked dresses and pigtails with bows. I just love them both so much and feel so honored to be their mommy.
Zoë's class hosted a Mother's Day tea and Sadie and I went. This was the one picture I could take because almost immediately Sadie was hijacked by Zoë's teacher's mother. She was enchanted with Sadie. She kept calling out to me from across the room, "She is laughing out loud. I've never heard one so young laugh out loud." I let her have it. I called back, "I think this is the first time she's ever done that. You must have the magic touch." Now, between you, me and the computer mouse, Sadie's been laughing for a good 2 months now and I don't think she is particularly advanced in this field. Sadie put on a show for her though. Sucking first her thumb, then both thumbs simultaneously, then one big toe, then one big toe one thumb, then two big toes. She made an attempt at the unprecedented two big toes, two thumb combo but she just doesn't have the fine motor skills to pull that one off ... YET. Anyway, Zoë was so proud to be able to show off her baby sister to her classmates.
